What do national parks do?

The National Park Service employs people of all sorts of vocations to keep the park running. While most people are familiar with rangers, there are actually several types of rangers: law enforcement, interpretive/education, and backcountry. There are also fee collectors, campground workers, maintenance workers (including plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, mechanics, and more), administrative staff, construction crews, pilots, firefighters, paramedics, IT professionals, artists, and more.
