Adult Octopi eat small crabs, clams, snail, small fish, and in some cases other octopi.
A snail is a mollusc, as are the octopus and oyster.
They are both mollusks.
Snail, Octopus, and scallop
Of the three: octopus, coral snake, and snail, there is only one vertebrate which is the coral snake. The reason is that it has a backbone, one of the characteristics of a vertebrate. Neither the snail nor the octopus have an internal skeleton or backbone to qualify as a vertebrate, so they are classified as invertebrates.
A moon snail preys upon other snails and bivalves. It wraps its large foot around the prey item and then drills a hole through the shell of its victim.

they both like water
A snail is an invertebrate, and so is an octopus.
Moon snails are preyed upon by various animals such as crabs, starfish, sea stars, and some shorebirds. These predators are able to crack the thick shell of a moon snail to access the soft body inside.
A large fish called the Maori Wrass (which also eats Crown-of-Thorns Starfish), as well as large Hermit Crabs and Octopus can eat adult Giant Triton Shells.
Whales eat octopus [sperm whales have giant octopus as a favorite food]. Octopus eat each other octopus. Humans eat octopus. Anything that can catch an octopus (that isn't easy) will eat it. Killer whales [or Orcas, a kind of toothed whale] eat octopuses.
