On Thanksgiving day, people gather with their families and friends to b thankful for all they have in their lives. People tend to feast on stuffed turkey, potatoes(mashed or baked) and cranberry sauce. IDK what these represent, but they're yummy!!!! Also, my family has the tradition of a cook off every year, which is fun too...I <3 thanksgiving!!!

This event is often regarded as the origin of the modern Thanksgiving holiday in the United States.

The chief of the Wampanoag tribe who was invited to the Thanksgiving feast in 1621 was Massasoit. He played a crucial role in establishing an alliance with the Pilgrims, which was vital for their survival in the New World. Massasoit and his people joined the Pilgrims in a three-day celebration, which is often regarded as the first Thanksgiving.
