If people live in the desert they would probably eat snakes, lizards, or whatever they can catch. It may seem weird but out there it's either you or it and I'm sure you don't want to die in the desert.

∙ 9y agoI estimate that 99.999% of those living in the desert are residing in numerous towns and cities and have no problem going to the neighborhood market or restaurant for a meal. Very few people live a desert life away from the cities and even they come to town for provisions when needed. I live in the Chihuahuan Desert and my home is a half mile from a Wal*Mart Supercenter and have no problems keeping food on my table.

∙ 8y agoMillions upon millions of people around the world live in deserts and the vast majority (over 99%) live in cities and towns where food is readily available in stores and markets or restaurants. I live in the Chihuahuan Desert and have a Wal*Mart SuperCenter a half mile from my home where I can purchase nearly any food I desire. There are also a number of restaurants and fast food establishments within a short walking distance of my home. For those who live far from a town or city, many of them grow at least part of their own food and purchase other food items when they make an occasional trip into town to stock up on supplies.
