Displaying fireworks, eating pozole and maybe going to the local zocalo to hear the Grito de independencia are quite common. Christmas (Dec 25)? Usually, piñatas and a Christmas dinner are held among family members. Cinco de Mayo (May 5)? Only Mexican-Americans and people from the city of Puebla celebrate the occasion.
