What do people think of the big pony polo rider on the Ralph Lauren oxford shirt?

It borders on very bad taste. It screams status. Aethestically, it is too much in your face, makes the wearer too much of a walking billboard. Unlike the subtle yet distinct classic polo logo, which gives the wearer an air of elegance, the new large logo does nothing to enhance others' perception of the wearer, the out of proportion graphic competes with the person (and wins). I'm sure there are a lot of people in the fashion industry dislike subtlety, but in my social circles, most (myself included) consumers will not buy any of the new large logo merchandise. Mr. Lauren just gave us a reason to shop others.
