Everything. Ducks are part of the ecosystems and without them something may go terribly wrong in nature. For example, the ducks eat the algae which helps other animals survive. Now say you take the duck away, the algae can possibly over grow or fish get over populated just because ducks aren't there to eat them. This can cause trouble for the ducks' predators and other species.

Also, some humans eat duck.
