usually sharp fangs

No, rattlesnake's teeth are actually quite dull. When people are bitten by a rattlesnake, the poison is absorbed through the skin. The poison messes with their brains and makes them think they have been bitten.

Rattlesnakes have hooked fangs in the front of their mouths that are hollow and can deliver venom from glands.

Secondly, they have smaller, also hooked teeth farther back in their mouths.

The teeth are hooked toward the back of the snake's mouth, to resist prey escape.
