Red Tail catfish will eat anything that it thinks is meaty. If you own a Red Tail Catfish, return it to the place you purchased it and demand your money back. Red Tail catfish can grow to over 4 feet long. Some to 5 feet. They are NOT ornamental fish for a tropical tank. Return it and demand your money back. When purchasers realize that this type of catfish is out growing their tanks and eating all the other fish, they will release it in their local pond or lake. Though they cannot live through US's northern winters, they can live in subtropical areas like southern Georgia and Florida.

If the place does not give your money back, report them to the ASPCA for selling a species of fish that should not be sold in the USA or outside of South America.
