Small animal or companion animal veterinarians tend to have pretty structured days. In the morning they will evaluate any animals that were hospitalized overnight and make updates to their treatment plans as needed. Then they will start into the day's appointments, which may be surgical procedures, examinations of patients brought in by their owners or a combination of both. The veterinarian will examine the animals, diagnose any conditions the animal may have and then provide treatment; the veterinarian also has to complete the paperwork associated with this such as billing information and medical records. By the end of the day, the veterinarian will check in on hospitalized patients for the last time, make sure they are comfortable for the overnight stay, finish up medical records and billing information then head home for the night.

There are three major categories of services that a veterinary technician cannot do: diagnose a condition, perform surgery and prescribe medication. Outside of this, however, an experienced veterinary technician can do a wide variety of things, including collecting biological samples and running diagnostic tests (the veterinarian has to interpret the results to determine a diagnosis); assist in surgery with anything from inducing, maintaining and recovering from anesthesia to prepping the patient for surgery and scrubbing in to pass surgical tools and assist with traction; collect baseline patient data and medical history from clients; maintain medical records; monitor hospitalized animals per a pre-determined treatment protocol. Also, many veterinary technicians are valuable non-medical staff within a veterinary clinic - some have excellent financial skills or communication skills, so they may be in charge of collecting the past-due accounts, others are very good with maintaining supplies and ordering needed medications and equipment, and others are excellent human resource managers who are in charge of maintaining the staffing schedule and arranging coverage for vacations.

Why my vet says my puppy s are healthy why do they have the poops everyday?

They should be pooping every day, what were you expecting? Or are you saying that they aren't housebroken? That isn't a vet problem, it's a training problem, and puppies are likely to have "accidents" for some time.
