The first roller coaster was actually a coal mining car in NY in 1895 that ran 18 miles down hill and would hit a 100 MPH. People came up to the hill where it was located and rode it down. Roller coasters became popular after WW1 and there were over 2,000 built in the United States in the early 1900's. In 1927 the Coney Island roller coaster opened. The early roller coasters were very dangerous and many people got hurt on them. They are called roller coasters because wheels are used for them to coast on a track. It is all done with gravity.

Roller Coasters are awesome. Roller coasters are fun simply because a lot of people love the feeling you get in your stomach. People call it "Butterflies". Also, feeling the wind in your face and the sun on your cheeks on a nice sunny day is perfect. Another reason is because the fast speeds of the roller coaster are what make it so fun. If you don't like roller coasters, then wow... you're missing out on a lot of fun!!!!!
A group of roller coasters is often referred to as a "coaster collection" or simply a "coaster lineup." In amusement parks, multiple roller coasters are typically organized in specific areas, which may be themed or categorized by type, such as wooden or steel coasters. Some enthusiasts may also use the term "coaster family" to describe a group of coasters that are related in design or function.

Rising action is what you call the part of the story where things are getting more and more tense and exciting. It's like going uphill on a roller coaster where you're getting more excited as you get close to the top of the ramp.
