Spacers feel like you have a piece of meat or popcorn wedged between you teeth! DO NOT try to floss it out (it will be almost impossible anyhow!) About 6-10 hours after you have your spacers put in, you will befin to feel teeth movement. Any discomfort should go away after a couple of days.
They feel like they will fall out because of the spacing there doing. It is very normal to feel like that but they will not fall out if you follow your advisers instructions.
Spacers are little blue rubber bands the orthodontist put between your molar's.
It feels like you have meat in between your molars but it doesn't hurt that bad but it depends how you are in pain. If you are a person that can deal with pain then it probably will not hurt but if you cannot handle pain then it will hurt.WARNING: DO NOT THINK ABOUT THE PAIN! IT WILL HURT 10x MORE!PS. I have had spacers and braces and I will say the braces hurt worse. Good Luck :)
Spacers look like blue/ purple mini rubber bands stuck in a place for braces.... Almost everyone has to get spacers before braces
Well I believe you do have to get spacers before braces. The spacers are used to separate, or space out, the teeth. Where these spacers are, the bands for your braces will go.I didn't have to get spacers before my braces. Some people do some people don't my friend she did not have to get spacers only braces.
Dental spacers can be removed once the teeth for which the dental spacers were placed have sufficiently erupted into the spaces provided by the spacers. Your dentist or orthodontist can tell you if this has occurred.
It is generally not recommended to eat sticky foods like syrup with spacers on, as they can easily get caught in the spacers and lead to difficulty in cleaning and maintaining the orthodontic treatment. It's best to avoid eating syrup or any other sticky foods until the spacers are removed.
Yes, You can eat with spacers. But it hurts to chew where your spacers a located. My spacers are located in the back between my wisdom teeth and the last 2 at the top of my mouth. Yes I do feel like ripping them out but I can't. I have tried to eat gummies but you shouldn't try that. Your spacers might come out because gummies are sticky and get stuck in between your teeth. When you get spacers in it doesn't hurt to eat for the first few hours but after 3 hours you should think about taking a pain medicine. When you get your braces your not allowed to eat nuts or popcorn of sugar gum..and more.
No, spacers in your teeth don't hurt at all and if they do, they will go away in a few minutes. While spacers are being put in your teeth it feels like someones pulling your teeth out. But that really does not hurt, it may hurt a few seconds but it go away as fast as you can say ouch. You will have to get used to the way it feel and that only takes a few minutes and you wont even know they are there! After a few hours it feels a little weird because it means that they are separating your teeth and it doesn't hurt much but just a tiny bit. Before I got my spacers in my mouth i had to get little rubber bands in between my molars to create space for the spacers . And those hurt terribly . getting braces hurts and getting them tightened hurts. idk yet about the actual spacers cus i haven't got them in my mouth yet. but my best suggestion to you is take Tylenol because your gonna need it !
Spacers are tiny rubber bands that fit in between your teeth for edging. Edging is a silver thing that wrapes around your teeth. You have to keep spacers in for about 1 week and then you willl have then takes out by your dentist ONLY. If you take theses things out they hurt even worse than when u first got them put in, so just be patient and wait for your dentist to take them out. Dont be worried if you are to get spacers. In fact i have them in right now i had gotten them in 3 days ago and on March 5th im going to my dentist to get the spacers taken out and braces and edging put in. i delt with the pain and after a day or 2 the pain definetly goes away, dont be worried Good Luck, Nicole I got spacers and they didn't really hurt until the next day... take an advil and it wont be that bad. But it hurts to eat so eat ice cream and stuff like that. It stays like that for 2 to 4 days. Spacers hurt more than braces do though. Lilly
Any orthodontic office you can find rubber spacers.
Why not. Spacers do not change the ride.
