Our English Springer Spaniel is almost 11 years old. He is a dog that we rescued 10 years ago that has been a very good and loving member of our family. Unfortunately, because of his previous owner, he has never allowed us to properly groom or inspect his paws. Our Vet will only treat him if he is muzzled. He reluctantly allows us to clean his ears. He is a large male around 65 pounds. Liver and white. He has recently developed very scaly skin with an almost rough feel to it. His hair is thinning on his entire body. It has always been a major battle to trim his nails. He is very protective of his personal space especially his paws.
He now has developed a large swelling on his back left paw. It looks like a bubble between his nails that just developed virtually overnight. He does not have other symptoms, his appetite is good, he seems OK but carries his paw in the air now when he walks.
Please provide any diagnosis, treatment or help.
Thank you!
You can get different types of springer spaniels: English, Welsh.
are springer spaniels color blind
Welsh Springer Spaniels weigh from 16 - 20 kg.
All Welsh Springer Spaniels should naturally have moderately long fur.
usually liver aka brown or they come in black
No because springer spaniels can only be coloured (naturally) different shades of brown, black and white. There are no springer spaniels with a golden coat.
There are cocker spaniels and springer spaniels.
English Springer Spaniels are usually full grown at around 2-3 years old. My Springer, Sadie, is going to be 3 this summer and is already full grown. Hope this helped!!! :)
No. They are a crossbreed of Springer Spaniels and Cocker Spaniels.......in other words, a mongrel.
Yes they are! They are adorable and active , but not overly active though. I play with my aunt's springer spaniels and they love playing fetch and swimming. They are great dogs.
no Charles spaniels don't but springer spaniels help police out and sniff out drugs
I think they were bred for hunting.
