Depending on the circumstances (some companies require NOT divulging the actual elevation) the elevation is written on Lathe near the mark or on a tag attached to the mark, sometimes the elevation is only on the plan set for large projects and not actually on the Bench-Mark. There are many variables, the elevation mark is always called the Bench-Mark though.
