When a star colour is blue, then the temprature of the surface can go from 20,000c to 50,000c. When a star colour is white then the temprature of the surface is around 10,000c. If a star colour is yellow like the sun then the temprature of the surface is around 6,000c. If the star your looking at is red then it is not really hot, the temrature of the surface can go up to 3,000c.

Hope i helped :)

Do star color indicates the absolute distance?

No, the color of a star does not directly indicate its absolute distance. The brightness of a star, as measured by its apparent magnitude, is more indicative of its distance.

What do the color and lines in the spectrum of a star indicate?

By looking at the lines in a star's spectrum of light, astronomers can tell what kinds of elements the star is made of. This happens because when a beam of light hits an atom or molecule, that atom absorbs a characteristic wavelength (color) of visible light. Scientists have made a huge list of different elements and the different patterns of lines observed in theirj corresponding "spectra" (fancy word for light spectrums), and by using such lists can deduce precisely what each star is made of.
