The defcon switches in black ops found in zombie map five are switches/panels that are used to switch the teleporter into a phase where it sends you into a special room where you can upgrade your weapons or more likely known as pack a punch your guns.
ok he knows what they do there's 2 on each floor of the war room, one by the door of the pack a punch room, one by the basement elevator, one by the upper elevator, and one accross the war room.
