iWork is made up of three applications:
• Pages - the word processor which does word processing
• Numbers - the spreadsheet which does numerical stuff
• Keynote - which is used for creating presentations
(See links below)
Apple's Numbers software is the spreadsheet component of their iWork suite.
iWork products software for efficiently creating documents, spreadsheets, and presentations on Mac based devices. It's also compatible with Microsoft Office.
The spreadsheet included with the iWork software suite is called Numbers.
Insert the DVD, open it up, and run the installer.
actually garageband comes with iwork that has all the iphoto and all those stuff.
There are several companies who manufacture Publisher software for use with Macs. The iWork program by Apple receives good reviews for their software, as does the Printfolio by BeLight Software.
iWork 09 is installed into it's own iWork 09 folder in the Applications folder. It should not touch an iWork 08 installation.
iWork is compatible with macOS and iOS devices, allowing users to create and edit documents, spreadsheets, and presentations on Macs, iPhones, and iPads. Additionally, iWork files can be exported in various formats, including Microsoft Office formats (such as .docx and .xlsx), making it easier to share and collaborate with users of other software. iWork also has a web-based version accessible through iCloud, enabling cross-device functionality.
IWork was created on 2005-01-11.
All previous iWork files are readable by late copies of iWork but upon opening them you have to save them to the new format of that version of iWork. For example an iWork '06 document opened in iWork '08 will have to be saved as an iWork '08 document upon opening it, which means you will not be able to open it in a previous version of iWork
If you're trying to do a software update on Pages, it means you've moved the application from where it was originally. When you got the software, it was automatically downloaded into a folder in Applications called "iWork 'xx" (where "xx" is the year of the software. I'll just use '08 for simplicity. So basically, go to Applications, create a folder named "iWork '08", and put Pages in there.
