Waterfalls put oxygen in to the water which first helps the fish breath well and second make the plants grow even better which means more food for us.

Waterfalls can also generate hydropower. Gravity from water gushing down waterfalls can produce huge amount of energy with the right methods of harnessing it.

The high altitude causes wet and windly weather, you could be far away from amenities ie, shops etc.

Some of the disadvantages of living near mountains are that it is usually cold, wet and windy. Also, there is no communities nearby or schools for children. If there was an emergency, then the nearest hospital would be over an hour away! In these mountains there will be many waterfalls so it too cause many problems to human health.
