it depends what type of whale. they don't have much to kill with besides their teeth, but different whales use different tactics.
some small whales and porpoises that hunt on the surface will tail slap the water, which can stun small fishes. the shock waves through the water will stun them cold.
sperm whales and some other large whales use ultra low vibrations to get the same effect. imagine if we set up a giant speaker next to ourselves. we would get stunned by the shock of the sound.
water will actually amplify sound waves. it is much more dense than air and the waves travel through it with ease. the small fish or squid or whatever, are surrounded and also filled with this liquid that is transmitting vibrational force. it is quite amazing.
others hunt in packs. orcas are very crafty and downright sneaky about killing their prey.
hope this helped.
Thousands of years ago people only knew whales if they were stranded on the coast. They thought these whaleswere gifts of gods and they began to use the whalesfor their own lives. ... Many fishermen complain about dolphins, also another kind of whale, because they steal the fish. Therefore, they kill thousands of them.
YOU WOULD NEED VERY THICK ROPE AND MAKE A LONG LINE OF IT AND PUT IT IN THE SEA YOU WILL ALSO NEED PROBABLY A TRANQUILIZER TO DART THEM SO THEY GO TO SLEEP AND NOT STRUGGLE TO GET OUT
a harpoon,maybe..
