For example: Republicans will say that the president has not fixed the economy nor reduced the deficit, and so, it's time for a change; they believe Mitt Romney understands business, and that his plan will grow the economy. Further, Republicans believe Mr. Romney will be a better and stronger leader. But Democrats will say that Mr. Romney's policies are similar to what got us into this mess in the first place. They believe President Obama inherited a major fiscal disaster from President Bush, and because of global problems that slowed the economy world-wide, it has taken a while for the economy to bounce back; they will also say the Republicans in congress blocked every effort of the president to offer plans to create more jobs. Democrats thus believe that President Obama's steady leadership kept things from getting worse and that all indications are the economy is in fact heading in the right direction now.
