The MAJORITY of US veterans from the 1960's & early 1970's were simply doing as they were ORDERED to do; enter the military service under the ORDERS of "conscription" (or "volunteer") and perform their jobs (duties) to the best of their ability...as they were trained by the government (military) to perform. The vast majority of US veterans successfully performed their ASSIGNED duties and received honorable discharges. Those duties consisted of everything...from being a clerk typing on a typewriter to flying a B-52 Stratofortess Strategic Bomber...from driving a 2 1/2 ton Army truck (deuce and a half) to manning an atomic powered submarine...from cooking a meal in the chow hall to carrying a 21 pound M-60 machine gun through jungles...etc.

Veterans are individuals who have selflessly served their country, often sacrificing their personal safety and well-being for the greater good. They represent bravery, sacrifice, and dedication to a cause larger than themselves. Their contributions and experiences deserve respect, support, and recognition.
