A house is a building for human habitation, usually for one family. A house is generally divided into separate spaces or rooms for different activities of daily living: a kitchen, for cooking and eating meals; a living room, for relaxing and social activities; a bathroom, for washing and excretion; a bedroom, for sleeping and sometimes having sexual intercourse in; and a basement, which usually has rooms for laundry and utilities. A house also has, either built into it or as a separate building, a garage for parking vehicles and areas for tools and equipment. Machines that are usually used in houses are called appliances. Appliances include refrigerators, microwave ovens, stoves, dishwashers, coffee makers, blenders, vacuum cleaners, and lawn mowers for maintenance of the grounds surrounding the house. Electronic devices such as televisions, radios, computers, and telephones are also found in houses. In addition, houses may contain rooms for recreation such as playrooms for small children.

First of all, a house is a building where someone can live. Something does not need to be living in it for it to be called a house.

Secondly, a home is where something is living, and it can be a house, or something like a animal's place, such as a cave or a den. A home can be any place.
