In advance I'm asking for your pardon. You could be asking for the more or less obvious answer, "an octave". Or you could be asking a trick question, the answer to which is not "an octave".
On the piano, an octave would be any note along with the next similarly named note above or below it. If you play one octave of the scale of C going up from middle C, and you 'count' each note on your way, the upper C will be counted 'eight'. But between those notes, there are 7 consecutive, non-overlapping steps, not 8. C to D would be a whole step, E to F would be a half step. If by degree you mean step, then it would be the interval called the ninth, from middle C to the second D above it, that would have eight steps between.

Interval
What ever note that is a major second interval below the starting note of the scale.
In music, the pitch refers to how high or low a note may be. An interval refers to the difference between two pitches.
The smallest interval in traditional western (hemisphere) music is the half step
In a musical, the majority of the plot is told in song. Conflicts are sung, as are happy moments. In a non-musical, there is music, but it is only in the background. The music works with the plot, but most of the time it is unrelated to the storyline.
In music theory, an interval is the difference between two pitches. An interval may be described as horizontal, linear, or melodic if it refers to successively sounding tones, such as two adjacent pitches in a melody, and vertical or harmonic if it pertains to simultaneously sounding tones, such as in a chord.

Classical music was the music composed between 1750 and1830.
a conductor conducts a train ,while a music director directs a concert or musical.
It is known to be called Satan's music. In the Renaissance ages it was called diablous in musical. Modern music theorists know it as the tritone as well as also being cold the devil's triad or the devils interval as well as diminished fifth or an augmented fourth.
you need your music degrees and a contract.
