The Book of the Dead
the mummie is practically a dead person inside a white cloth
Horus is a deity in Egyptian myth, that is the religion of the ancient Egyptians - he was never person alive or dead as a 'god'.
Horus is a Egyptian deity, not a living/dead person.
According to Egyptian history, Egyptian God Anubis analyzed the dead person and took his soul and balanced it with the heart of truth. If the soul and the heart did not balance well, the person would be killed by a beast. If the soul and the heart did balance, the person was able to get wrapped as a mummy (dead, so there is your answer). Then Egyptian slaves/workers would build a pyramid and bury the person in there.
Mortician.
no one invented it! It was built by a group of Egyptians and americans the person who owns it is dead
Well, first the Egyptian people beleived that mummifying the dead person would preserve them for the afterlife. Also, anything that they put in with the dead person would supposedly go with them to the afterlife too. Too bad most of the mummies got stolen and robbed huh?
The Egyptian 'Book of the Dead' relays the belief in a journey to the underworld as the dead, it includes ancient Egyptian dead and demons and gods and spells. A ancient persons near death experience may have led to the making of the book, or the book may have inspired belief in the afterlife and colored the consciousness of a person near death.
