Well for starters, very few sharks actually venture close enough to be in contact with a human. On rare occasions a shark will come close to the shore, or a human will go out far enough to be able to be bitten by a shark. I have a question for you now: Why does it matter? Are you saying this like its a bad thing?

You don't feel leeches; sharks are another matter entirely. I would advise that you avoid getting bitten by a shark. If a shark bites you, you will notice it. If you don't notice the fact that you have been bitten by a shark you have much more serious problems than just a shark bite.
