When you reach the steps, and have a choice to head north or east, head east. Battle all the trainers there, (especially the third fisherman) as there a lots of Pokemon new to see, and should fill up your pokedex considerably. then there is the last gym! (after this the elite four, Pokemon champion, then a whole new pokedex to fill up. the national pokedex.)
