She is going to be upset for awhile whether he was a jerk of a boyfriend or not. If you know her then just be there and say something like 'Hey, you look like you could use some perking up so do you want to go to a movie Saturday night?' You could take her dancing or a myriad of other things. This way you are helping her get through a rough time and perhaps the two of you will hit it off. Beware! Sometimes the couple gets back together or it may take her longer to get over this ex boyfriend. Young women have a way of stressing out over a break up with hopes her ex will come back to her so take it slow and easy and don't set yourself up for a fall.
