If you have used several strands of lights, make sure the plugs are plugged in securely. If the plugs are plugged in, check the bulbs. With some types of lights, if one bulb is burned out, left out, or loose, the entire strand will not light.
If the bulbs are all working, it is probably time to buy a new strand of lights.
They are wired in series. one out- all out. This could prevent fires, by the way. Fires are always a hazard with electricity in close proximity to , in this case a real or artificial usually plastic or metal) tree. Every year there are tragic fires involving Christmas Trees- reason enough to scuttle the custom or confine it to outdoor trees which can be re-decorated without being torn down- as in parks.
throw it away and get a new one or just return it to wherever you got it! :)

Transparent = light goes through the object (like glass). Translucent = some light goes through the block but there is sufficient diffusion to prevent perception of distinct images. Opaque = No light can get through the object.

The lights are wired in parallel.

There are a number of Polish Christmas songs. Most of them are religious and some almost austere. For example, one song that is heard in every town and village is titled, The Bells Do Ring. It goes it part, Oer woods and grass and tillage, hey ding a ding, but it is actually about New Year's. There are a couple of others more to the American style, for instance, Make Ye Merry, which goes, for now is the time of Christmas, of Christmas, of Christmas, spread out over three syllables.
