Try your very best not to stress the animal out. Stress is a big bird killer. You have a few options, You can make sure that the animal is safe and cannot be attacked by anything else , cat , dogs etc and call for an official.

you could attempt to catch the bird, but first make sure you have a box that you can close quickly and securely. Get some heavy duty gloves , because that beak and talons are not for scratching an itch. Try to catch it and place it in the box as quickly as possible and take it to an official. Vet, Bird sanctuary, Animal catcher. Make sure the box has good ventilation.

If you start to scare the bird because you cannot catch it quickly resort to option 1

Just leave it to recover, or move it to somewhere more hidden.

Don't take it and look after it unless you have expert advice on how to do so.
