If someone threatens you at work the best thing to do is call the police as quick as you can. If its a little threat tell your boss. If its a life and death siltation let the authority's know the person may be dangerous. If you have to find another job. This is for you saftey.

∙ 15y agoIt depends upon the nature of the assault, but in most cases, immediately contact the police and file a complaint. In the case of physical assault it is more your decision to forgive and forget (after an apology or press charges. In the case of sexual assault (and not just a crude joke) you should contact the police and press charges. It is a very hard thing to do, but necessary.

∙ 13y ago- You are the boss! If an employee threatens you then you should fire them immediately. If they are blackmailing you (for example: Sexual harassment when you are not guilty of it) then retain a lawyer immediately. If it is a male employee and the threat is a dangerous one and the employee is implying they will 'get you or your family' or, a death threat then try to tape the employee without them knowing if possible, but even if you cannot report these threats to the police. If you are getting threats of bodily harm then be aware of your surroundings (do not park in underground parking) and try not to stay late at work if possible (take your work home with you if you can.

∙ 10y agoOne of the main things that you should definitely do is make sure you tell someone of a higher importance than anyone - in other words your boss or deputy manager of your particular "unit" of work as this may make it more likely that the situation will get sorted out.
