It could be constipated. Some things you should feed your guinea pig is grains, green veggies, and milkNO NEVER FEED MILK TO A GUINEA PIG>>>>>>EVER!!
You should also give it some vegetable or olive oilNEVER EVER EVER FEED OIL TO A GUINEA PIG....WHAT WAS THIS PERSON THINKING. That clears out the track. If it is still constipated then bring it to a vet!!
Well you could buy Alli... JUST KIDDING! Actually my guinea pig is VERY fat so we try to give her as much healthy foods as we can try Carrots they love those... If she is fat then go to the store and buy her a leash for guinea pigs. you can find one in pet smart they are pretty cheap. After that put the leash and harness on your guinea pig and take it for a walk in a nice grass area! avoid any animals larger than your pig and also avoid twigs and cement. It would be very bad if it stepped on a twig and punctured it foot pad. Hope this helps! =)
Put your guinea pig on a balanced diet, without over feeding. Guinea pigs should mainly eat grass then often eat veggies then sometimes eat hay and occasionally eat grains. commonly people thing guinea pigs main food is grains but processed grains are great to fatten up your guinea in the cold winters. and make sure that you take your guinea pig out to play as often as you can!!
You should take it to the Veterinarian if the bloating is excessive, comes on suddenly, and doesn't resolve itself within a reasonable ammount of time (an hour or two). A bloated guinea pig if female could be pregnant, so a vet check wouldn't hurt in either case.
TAKE HIM TO THE VET! Guinea pigs are extremely sensitive and anything you could do could hurt your little buddy.Hope This Helps,A Guinea Pig Lover
She is in heat.
Go to the vet IMMEDIATELY!
I don't think there is a test to tell if a guinea pig is pregnant, but a pregnant guinea pig will not let you rub its stomach. If you are still unsure, take your guinea pig to a vet.
Guinea pigs should not eat grapes and if so only occasionally. The grapes can cause the guinea pigs stomach aches.
It should not be unless the toes are bleeding or swollen.
The guinea pig should see a veterinarian. The veterinarian can discover the cause of the guinea pig's hair loss, and he or she can see what should be done for the guinea pig.
It really depends on if she has the symptoms of a pregnant guinea pig , So if : -Her stomach gets bigger more and more often -She starts drinking less -She moves around less than usual -She will start drinking more -When you feel her stomach and you feel kicking. (witch you can feel after 7 weeks into your guinea pigs pregnancy) If these symptoms are accurate with your guinea pig than she possibly could be pregnant. But also your guinea pig could simply have a stomach ache and you should probably call a vet to make sure. Also some guinea pig's might not like to get touched at certain places, like, ex; My guinea pig will try to get your hand off of her if you touch the end of her nose. It could be a sign she doesn't like it and she's trying to show you. So she could be pregnant or simply sick , but you should call a vet or bring her to the vet for more information.
The gestation period for the guinea pig (I assume this is what the question is asking) is about 60-65 days.
The heart in a guinea pig is in the body cavity between the front legs. It is not uncommon to be able to feel heartbeats in their stomach area.
you should never put a guinea pig with a chinchilla
Bring her to the vet right away. It could be badly bruised.
