This could be afew things. Do you bed your guineapig on hay? If so it could be mites. This is easily treated, you can buy treatment from most pet shops, but its best to take him/her to your vets, as they may have a stronger treatment that is more likely to cure the problem in one shot. Does your guineapig live wth another? It could be that the other guineapig is acting as the dominant one, and is pulling out your other guineapigs coat. Guinea pigs in season also sometimes do this to their companion, even to themselfs (obveously only if your guinea pig is female). It could also be that your guineapig is stressed for some reason, or even bored. Its bets to consult vet, and explain your situation and how your pet is kept, they will be able to give a much more accurate diognosis =) Hope this helps =)
first of all they dont have tails and if you meen by its back that meens its getting old.
B/c if you have 2 guinea pigs then one could be nibbling on the other and ripping its hairs out. Also, your guinea pig could have mites or fleas.

The guinea pig should see a veterinarian. The veterinarian can discover the cause of the guinea pig's hair loss, and he or she can see what should be done for the guinea pig.
if a guinea pig or any other animal has ring worm, it will have a bald spot and it will be red, itchy and will make your guinea pig really sick, so if your guinea pig has ring worm take it to the vet NOW! thanks savannah/ guinea pig and rabbit expert The bald spot will be around the back of both ears and around their eyes
Well some guinea pigs have some skin missing in some spots, it is part of their nature!
A guinea pig's color has nothing to do with its life, except for if it is getting bald patches or patches of color that weren't there before.
Yes your guinea pig could be pregnant or you could be overfeeding it. Is it exposed to any male guinea pigs? if this continues visit your local vet.
