Once when I was outside i accidentally dropped my hamster and it was bleeding from it's nose. If you don't want to go to a vet just keep the hamster away from the sun and wipe the nose with a tissue
You make sure never to let it escape, handle it a lot and if it isn't coping very well without vision in one eye, in my opinion the nicest thing might be to put it down...just my opinion. Talk to your local vet to confirm the blindness
I don't know. Mabie you should take him to a vet.
Hamsters can/will fight, kill, and even eat each other.
Take it to the vet. There's nothing you can do, unless you are a vet.
sad because it's dying
Go to the vet. Asap. Now!
Woah take it to the vet.
tell your parents or call the vet
yes a baby hamster can die and your female hamster,im sad to say, probably will pass away.
Dont worry he might just have eaten a bit to much
It's probally best to leave her/him till tomorrow so that he/she can settle in. I say this because when i first got my hamster i wanted to play with it straight away and it bit me :)
it's not I have got bit before a lot of times and it never swelled.
Well, it depends if they found each other. But if they did, I think that they would just fight each other. Not mate, lol
Take it to the vet ASAP. If these are the symptoms, that means your hamster is very close to dying. Your hamster is not sleeping. It is just waiting to die, so it closes it's eyes. Take it to the vet!
Yes, mature male hamsters become very territorial. They will fight and can cause serious injuries to each other. A friend of mine tried keeping two males together. They got in a bad fight and had to be separated. She got her hand bitten a few times in the separating. One hamster had a damaged eye and a partially severed paw. The other had several deep bites that became abscessed and had to be treated.
It means your hamster got a RARE disease! And it is horrible. If it happens to your hamster get rid of it QUICKLY or else you or you other animals can get it also and die.
You can get any type the pet store has. But I recommend the Teddy Bear Hamster because they are softer and a bit nicer than the others.
Wash it out with water and don`t bathe the hamster they keep their self clean.
The hamster by itself isn't alot at all. I got my hamster for $14 (about £9), but the cages and things needed for it are usually quite a bit more expensive than the hamster. It doesnt really cost alot to raise them either, just getting all the equipment at the start.
