In the event of a volcano eruption, the best thing you can do is get out of the area. However, having a few items on hand is also important. A volcano survival kit should include a flashlight, first aid kit, emergency food and water, medicines, sturdy shoes, eye protection, respiratory protection, and a battery powered radio.

you should try and get as far away as you can from the ash because it is deadly. You should also find cover and wait till the eruptions are finished before coming out. Try cover your mouth and breathe the cleanest air as possible.

It would depend on your proximity to the eruption, the type of eruption, and the type of volcano. It would always be best to maintain a safe distance from an imminent volcanic eruption, or if one occurs unexpectedly, retreat at once with haste and caution.
