What do you do when the one you love isn't talking to you?

I leave them alone and act like everything is normal. This is a form of control and manipulation when they do this. I refuse to reinforce the behavior because once you do they will keep it when ever they want something or you to do something. This is a behavior they learned as a child that if they pouted they got what they wanted and now as an adult they do it to control the relationship.
