You dump him. It might not be what you want to hear but if this guy is a jerk to other people and nice to you only when your alone, he does not actually care about you. It seems like he is putting on a show around you to try to get him to like you. He doesn't seem genuine in his approach to your relationship. You need to distance yourself from this guy and find someone who can care for you and other people around you.
