I leave him alone and let him deal with it. It is him that will lose sleep over what is bothering him not me! Then when he is ready he will come and talk to me about how is feeling and we work it out. That is how I deal with his irritability!
I would give him some time to sort his feelings out. You might need a separation just so he could regroup. Just let him know that you would be there for him if he needs you and when he is ready to talk to you.
First of all, don't get aggravated yourself. Stay calm and composed. Yelling,
screaming, nagging...It'll only make things worse.
Ask him what's on his mind, or what's bothering him. If he doesn't feel like sharing at the moment, leave it be. Forcing him to spill his guts might make him even more annoyed. Just tell him that you wanna help and that it might help him if he talked to you.
If you already know what's bothering him, try talking about it. again, if he doesn't want to at the moment wait a while. He might just wanna work it through by himself.
If he's angry at you, don't get upset with him as well (at least not right away). Ask him why he's angry at you and think about it, really listen to him. Let him finish talking and then you get to say something. Try to stay calm, that's important.
it all depends if you really like him than you can but if the assault is really bad then I don't think so
