We have to remember also the scripture that says grace without works is dead, so considering both of those verses, we have to conclude that we need to work to be obedient and good, and spread God's gospel and God's love in the world... but even after all the things we can do, and although they really are important, The fact still remains that we can't make up the debt that we owe Christ, who died so that we could have the opportunity to repent and be saved.
In other words, we *should* do good works, but we can't save ourselves. Only God can save us.
Ephesians 2:8-9 - For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
As I know he was changed after he understood the grace of God in Jesus through faith, in Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, 9 not as a result of works, that no one should boast. "Sola gratia et sola fide=for by grace you have been saved through faith
lol
Yes indeed grace is very important . Because we as christians are saved by grace and grace alone. It is not by our own deeds or by our own strength are we saved.
It means that with grace we are saved.
The bible says you are saved by grace , and not by your great deeds.
Jesus died on the cross, if you accept his free gift of salvation, you will be saved. John 6:47 I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life. If you believe you are a sinner and Jesus died for you, then rose three days later, you will be saved. Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, not by works. So that one can boast.
That is a saying, not a Bible quote.
sauver de grace.....
I think the answer to your question is by the grace of God. Sorry if I've misguided you! Answer: Paul was adamant that salvation is given by the grace of God and there is nothing a person can do to earn any kind of merit with God. Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, Ephesians 2:9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. Gaatiansl 2:21 I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain."
Paul spread the gospel of "salvation by grace through faith". God in His grace has provided a way for people to be reconciled to Him and to escape the judgement that is coming, this is through His son Jesus. By faith a person accepts this. Ephesians 2:8 For it is by God's grace that you have been saved through faith. It is not the result of your own efforts, but God's gift, so that no one can boast about it.
Humans always have free will:Ephesians 2:8-9New King James Version (NKJV)8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
