If you are concerned, you should probably go to the vet. Changes in diet, or stress can cause diarrhea. If it lasts for more than a day you definatly should go to the vet, because diarrhea is dehydrating.

Diarrhea in older dogs with no other symptoms can be watched at home for a couple of days, but puppies can lose so much water and energy in 24 hours that diarrhea alone can kill them. Also, puppies are susceptible to several diseases that most older dogs aren't, including parvovirus.
