hay, grains, supplements, apples, carrots.
In the summer horses mainly eat grass but, they may need restricting on this if they are prone to laminitis if that is the case then feed more hay to supply them with enough forage and, if needed you may need to feed the horse/pony concentrate foods such as oats especially if they are in hard work
The horse will have a short coat in the summer. They shed their thick winter coats during the spring so they can stay cool in the summer.
White Horses of Summer was created in 1975.
This can get very complicated, it depends on if the horses is outside during the day, how much weight it is carrying at the time, if the horse is stabled during the day, and things like that, if you leave your horse outside 24/7 then you really only need to give it a lot of exercise in Spring and Summer, and feed it a slab or two of hay during Autum and Winter. ;)
There is no name for a horses summer coat except for SUMMER COAT. Though we often call them "sleek" or "shiney" during the summer. The same this holds true for a winter coat-its called just that, a winter coat. Though we often call them "fuzzballs" and "Furbags". :)
They feed heavily during the summer and fall, then seek out dens in which to spend the winter.
Horses can have 2 colors, one in winter and one in summer.
