You have to get them to act calm around each other. Try to get them next to each other. When they behave award them with a treat.
You can't make your dog like your cat. To at least make them comfortable with each other: try to let your dog sniff your cat and have them do many things together. I have tried this with my cat and dog to be sure it works.
they make sounds like a cat meow or a dog roof.
i dont know acually but i think you let them get to know each other

If a dog will be protecting a cat is only if the dog grew up around the cat and adapted to it, but if the cat protected the dog they will reverse cyclogy and protect each other.
You make sure the dog doesn't see a cat and if it does you keep them away from each other.
only if that dog chases cats. trust me i am an experienced cat person.
A cat's opinion about a dog is likely similar to a dog's opinion of a cat. Luckily for humans, some cats and dogs not only like each other, but even seem to form a loving bond. Now, in my opinion, "Cats Rule; Dogs Drool" says it all.
No, they are in no way able to reproduce with each other.
During the climax of this short story, the dog and the cat look in a mirror and realize they are different creatures. They are both so upset and confused they fight each other despite the fact that they were once great friends.
Pour Gravy them. This makes it smell like dog so would avoid each other
You cant just MAKE a dog like a cat. Now they would JUST LIKE each other if they met each other when they were both a kitten or a puppy. Now heres how to get a dog to like a cat and a cat to get used to dogs. Get a toy, peice of clothing, or bedding the cat lays on alot and put it in a room with a dog in it. Now put the kitty in a different room with a collar and/or bedding that the dog uses alot. This will help them get used to each others scents. Put the dog in its cage and close it, then put the cat 1 or 2 ft in front of the cage. If the dog barks growls or jumps at the kitty then dont scold him and just put them back in the seperate rooms (this may have to be repeated a few times). When your dog doesnt growl bark or jump at your kitty say " Good Dog" (you can replace Dog with its name) then give the dog a treat. When The dog goes through that 3 times without growling barking or jumping at her (3 times in a row) reward him and then when the kitty doesnt run away reward her. When they get used to each other put them in the same room together with no boundaries between them. Make sure there are areas for the kitty to run to where the dog cant reach her. Place the dog in there then the cat 4 or 5 feet away from the dog, placing them in front of each other. Make sure there is a leash on the dog and someone is behind him holding the leash. If the dog runs at the cat, the cat runs away, or both then either the dog, the cat, or both need to repeat the procedure.
