1. Is it diagnostic? That is, does it answer the question that existed when the decision to take a radiograph was made?

2. Is the exposure adequate? Is it too light or too dark?

3. Is the anatomy present? Is it an image of what you wanted to look at?

4. Is the image distorted (elongated; foreshortened) enough to render it useless?
