You can pick any name you want. For all our pets, we waited before naming them. We tried to find names that we personally enjoyed hearing, and also looked at the personality of the pet. Sometimes we related the name to something we did. For example, we have a golden retriever and named him Gunny which is short for Gunnery Sergeant. This I came up with because of my Marine Corp profession. We have a ferret we named George, after the character Curious George, and this because he was into everything looking like he was curious about everything around him. Take your time, you will come up with a name that means something to you.
