Many technical colleges offer two year programs in hotel management. Also, you could work your way up the ladder at certain hotel chains. High end hotels require managers to have a degree, in most instances.
Hi!
Dear Gentlemen!
For requirement of hotel manager is vision for growth the hotel business, what is the position of hotel that need to forecast on potential base, and work out the target how can reach.
Then after, customer service and care.
In order to become a MANAGER in ANY position you need to finish high school preferably some post secondary schooling, learn how to SPELL and have a good command of the English language. A Manager is usually promoted from within the company that means that a person must work their way up the ladder.
English and Maths are a good starting point (English if you are in a English predominant country or which ever language is the main spoken for you home country). A second international language is also a plus point.
You would be wise to investigate qualifications available following your leaving school as well in areas of Hospitality (in the UK you can study a Vocational award / apprenticeship).
Please remember you CAN enter the industry with as a graduate. However, these positions are few. Many good managers have started from the bottom, learning service and moving through the various departments within the hotel trade.
To join a management trainee scheme with a large hotel or hotel group, you would normally need at least an HNC/HND in a relevant subject or even a degree or postgraduate qualification. Relevant degrees include hospitality management and international hospitality management, hotel and catering management, and hotel, tourism and licensed retail management. Business degrees - perhaps including hospitality, tourism or marketing - are another option.
The minimum qualifications for a degree are usually two A levels/Advanced Highers/three H grades and five GCSEs/S grades (A-C/1-3), or equivalent. For BTEC/SQA HNCs/HNDs, one A level/Advanced Higher/two H grades and four GCSEs/S grades (A-C/1-3) or equivalent qualifications would normally get you in.
If you already have a degree in another subject, you can take a one-year conversion course in hotel and catering management or a graduate apprenticeship.
There are travel and leisure majors in college. As a hotel manager, you will need to be very good at math, english, and people skills. So English, Debate, Drama, Business math, algebra, and literature would all be good subjects to tackle on your way to a job in the hospitality world. Good luck!!
Managerial experience, basic high school math skills, an ability to read, social skills, and a hotel.

People who want to stay at a hotel, make reservations. Staff at the hotel can formally make it, by recording it on their system. The person that does it could be a hotel manager, a receptionist, a bookings manager or some other members of staff that have that privilege within their duties.

Do you mean completing a hotel management course or having been a hotel manager? If it's a course you may want to do a graduate scheme see the link. Several possbilities for the 2nd. Area/Regional Manager/General manager of a group is probably the most obvious. It's unlikely that You could also work in Revenue Management, Sales or Events for a region
None. depending what type of bar you want to work in. its all about experience
To become a hotel manager, you should get at least an Associate's Degree, preferably in something like Hospitality, Hotel Management, or Management. If you want to become a hotel manager of a very profitable hotel, then most likely you will need a Bachelor's Degree in one of those majors. My suggestion is this. Go to a technical college and get an Associate's Degree in something related to hospitality or management. While you go to college, you should work for a hotel part-time as a front desk person, bookkeeper, cleaner, anything. So by the time you get your 2 year degree, you will have an education AND experience. From there, it is up to you to determine whether you should continue your education or take your chances with what you have. I wish you the best of luck.
You need a masters degree in social work ; MSW...or a CSW
