Do not do it! Aluminum and copper or dissimilar metals that expand and contract at different rates. For this reason you should never connect aluminum and copper together. This is a fire waiting to happen.

Look for an approved connector. There are connectors that allow dissimilar wires to be spliced together. Look on the package to see if it has the symbol Al/Cu. These types of connectors are UL/CSA approved.
