Both the bride and groom will need valid identification (either a drivers license, military identification card or certified copy of their birth certificate) and valid proof of their social security number.

They must both take the documents and $44 cash, money order, or bank cashier's check to the marriage license office, located on the first floor of the Mobile County Government Center Annex building at 151 Government Street.

The legal age to marry without consent in Alabama is 18 years of age. If a 16 or 17 year old wishes to get married, both parents must appear in person and sign documentation and provide identification.

Divorced persons may marry only after 60 days has passed since their divorce was granted. They must give the date of their divorce and what court it was obtained from.
