The only thing you can do with a seizure is let it run its course, so in terms of what not to do, you don't try to stop the seizure. You should not try to interfere with the person, only to make sure they are ok, and don't do themselves any unnecessary injury, like if they fall. Don't totally ignore them either. One other thing you should not do is panic. As the person is probably used to having seizures, they are normally more upsetting for those around them than for the person themselves. Not knowing what is going on if they have never seen one before, people will panic and get all sorts of crazy ideas as to what is happening and what they should do. It is human nature to do that, but as much as possible, don't panic. It won't help.
Shock victims should be wrapped snugly and kept warm. It is best to move ther person as little as possible to make sure that you do not cause further damage. Compress any open wounds, and get real medical care as quickly as possible.
