That depends on the construction and finish of the pool.
at ur local pool store!
No, but you can buy a cheap patch kit at pool stores or other places to easily patch above ground pools.
Drain the water to below the level of the leak, and let it dry. Glue a patch over the hole, and let it dry according to the directions in the patch repair kit. Refill pool and enjoy swimming.
Use a needless syringe and fill with a dark food coloring, release over area of suspected leak. If there is a hole in liner, the food coloring will disappear through the leak, otherwise it will float away. In a deeper area you will need equipment to go under the water. Once the leak is detected, use underwater patch material found at pool supply company. Cut patch about two inches larger than hole in liner and center over hole, smooth patch flat.
plaster can NOT be pacthed but vinyl you could patch them with a kit but otherwise you have to buy another pool
It's better to patch over a pool patch than to try to rip or scrape it off. If it will pull up easily with your fingers, then you can remove it.
Many pools have vinyl liners. As the pool ages, the vinyl liner will oftentimes become cracked. These cracks cause water to drain out of the pool, which can result in greater damage. One should never fail to repair this type of leak. The best way to repair this is to patch the crack or hole with a patch kit. These patch kits can be bought both in stores and online. There are different types of patch kits, some of which are meant to be used above water and some below the water. This type of pool repair is relatively simple.
The cause of the wrinkle in the liner has little or nothing to do with the chemicals you add to the pool. The ground below the pool is shifting and will most likely slide. You might want to check the pool for leaks. One sign of a leak on the exterior of a pool would be a very green patch of grass or weeds in the area of the leak.
If the leak is in the plumbing, you can get a qualified leak detection company repair the broken pipe, skimmer, or other area where the leak exists. If the leak is in the surface of the pool (such as a hole, or through cracks in the surface), coating the pool with a new fiberglass surface is your best bet. Fiberglass can be applied over plaster, aggregate (pebble-tec), vinyl liners, and virtually any other surface. A good way to see if you have a leak in your pool is to # take a bucket and fill it with water from your pool. # mark it at the water level. # mark the pool at the water level. # wait a few days if there is no leak in the pool then the water level in the bucket should have reduced by the same amount as the water level in the pool, however if the water level in the pool has gone down more then the water level in the bucket you have a leak in the pool or in the pipes around the pool.
Leak detection dye can be purchased at any number of pool repair/maintenance companies/websites; it can also be found on eBay. There is no powder you can put into a swimming pool to detect a leak.
I had a leak in the bottom of our gunite mosiac tile covered pool and was able to find it by lowering the water level to about 1 foot then dropping red dye slowly around the perimeter of the pool. The dye headed straight to the leak. We fixed the leak and have not had a problem since. To find a leak in a vinyl you can use the red dye, although the easiest thing to do is call your pool dealer and have them come and with a leak detector. Then use a clear patch or scrap piece of your liner(always cut in the shape of circle).
