If you don't just be like "sorry, you're cute and all, but I just don't like you in that way but I'm sure we can be friends." and if you like him be like "to be honest, I do like you." and after that if he does't text back be like "did I werid you out?" and if he doesn't text back AT ALL after that forget about him! hope that helps.
