Under no circumstances should your fiance not put your feelings and safety first before his good friend. His "good friend" should not be a part of his life if it has compromised your safety. He needs to chose between you and his friend, and just the fact he hasn't dumped his friend already shows he has accepted the abusive behaviour and for that reason I think you should dump your fiance.
